Any Anything Also Can
Broadsides

Client:
Sing Lit Station

As part of Any Anything Also Can’s exhibition, the team at Qu’est-ce Que C’est Design was invited to interpret four poems: Language (2016) by Pooja Nansi, My Kristang Awakening (2017) by Martha Fernandez, Wittily Translating Malay by Hokkien Dialect (1932) by Khoo Seok Wan and An Anthology on Horse Racing (1893) by N V Rengasamy Dasan.

From a design point-of-view, besides attempting the capture the essence of each poem, we explored the limits of what a broadside as a format could be through three-dimensionality, smell, textures, depth and perspective as well as the use of light and space.
